Meet Maya: Owner and Instructor
Maya began dancing at the age of 2 and hasn't stopped since. She trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, musical theatre and voice, and loves being able to share her passion for dance and movement with children everywhere. Maya has competed across North America, trained with top industry professionals and has taught in various cities across Ontario.
After years of teaching and working in various administrative roles within youth programming organizations, Maya founded LCI Movement. Since its inception in 2016, Maya has been working hard providing opportunities for students to learn movement, create movement and be inspired by movement. Maya is excited to be expanding the LCI Movement team and bringing new energy to the teaching team.
Maya is currently completing her Masters degree in Curriculum and Pedagogy while continuing to teach in schools across the GTA. If you see Maya at your school, don't forget to give her a big high-five!
Meet Allie: Instructor
Allie began dancing at the age of 2 starting with ballet class. At age 4, she had joined a competitive team and extended her training to include jazz, acrobatics, lyrical/contemporary, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, and pointe. Allie has had the opportunity to attend many competitions throughout North America. She is an award-winning dancer receiving numerous overalls, dance scholarships, and special awards and went on to compete in the Dance Canada Pageant with her acrobatic solo in 2014.
Allie has completed RAD ballet examinations from Primary to Grade 5 and Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2 and continues her ballet training with certified professionals in the industry. Allie has been an assistant instructor in both competitive & recreational classes since 2011 and in September 2014 she became a certified instructor. She is an Associate Member of the BATD in Stage (Jazz & Tap) and Acrobatics/Gymnastics and certified in Acrobatic Arts Module One. Over the years, her students have developed new skills and won many special awards and overalls. Allie strives to instil a passion for dancing in her students as well as the ability to work hard and be proud of their achievements, no matter how big or small.
Meet Emily: Instructor
Emily is a 25-year-old dance instructor/choreographer originating from Sudbury Ontario. Emily has been dancing since the age of 2 and as she grew into her role of becoming a dance instructor, she has been sharing her love and knowledge of dance with her students. With many years of experience, she has trained in different styles such as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acro, Contemporary/Lyrical, Musical theatre, and Hip Hop. Throughout her dance journey, she has attended many workshops, conventions, and competitions in Canada winning overall standings and scholarships.
Emily graduated from Cambrian College and obtained her Social Services Worker diploma. She is also a qualified dance instructor with the University of Las Vegas and received her Level 1 with dance teacher web in 2017. Emily previously owned and operated her very own studio in Barrie, Ontario which provided her with business/administrative experience as well. Emily is now taking freelance teaching opportunities and continues to keep up with the latest trends.

Meet Madeline: Instructor
Madeline began her dance training at the age of eight in the small town of Leduc, Alberta, where she trained competitively in Irish, contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, pointe, acrobatics, lyrical and tap. She followed her passion to York University in Toronto, Ontario where she is currently pursuing degrees in both dance and kinesiology. She has had the privilege of training under renowned dance artists during her time at York such as Tracey Norman, Syreeta Hector, Jennifer Bolt, John Ottmann and Catherine Glasser. She has also trained throughout Toronto with current popular dancers and choreographers Noel Bajandas, Derek Piquette, Lauren Lyn and Andrew Dragert.
Madeline has proudly completed the Alberta Ballet School’s summer intensive and has performed within York University as well as in aspiring contemporary choreographer Alexis Burling’s work “2:14 am”.
A teacher, dancer and choreographer passionate about safe dance practice and conditioning habits, Madeline utilizes her knowledge of kinesiology to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency in her classes with a strong emphasis on finding joy in every movement. She is dedicated to providing each student with equal opportunity and creating the most positive and safe space possible in every class!
